WWE Releases Top Superstar Braun Strowman on Wednesday
SmackDown Superstar King Baron Corbin was not part of the list of WWE Superstars who were released on Wednesday.
WWE released the likes of Aleister Black, Lana, Buddy Murphy, Ruby Riott, and Santana Garrett. Strowman was also recently part of the WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view in the Triple Threat with Drew McIntyre and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in May and his release comes as a big shock.
Corbin noticed the tweet and immediately called out the fan for wishing to see someone lose their job.
However, a fan on Twitter believes WWE Smackdown superstar, Baron Corbin should have been fired instead of Braun Strowman.
“I’ll never understand this. What is wrong with you wanting someone else to be fired? Nobody should ever want some one to lose their job and livelihood.”
Baron Corbin has managed to work his way up the ladder after debuting in NXT. In 2020, during the pandemic, one fan posted on Twitter demanding the release of Corbin from the company.
The former United States Champion reacted by saying :
“People like this truly make me sick. Regardless of your thoughts on me you’re wishing someone lost their job. How they feed their families and their livelihood. You need to reevaluate your life.” ( h/t @BaronCorbinWWE )
Baron Corbin overview
Pestock joined NXT after signing with the developmental brand in 2012. He debuted on the main roster at Wrestlemania 32, winning the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He went on to win the 2017 Money in the Bank and WWE United States Championship once.
In 2018, he was made the General Manager of Raw, starting a feud with Kurt Angle ending at Wrestlemania 35, beating him in his retirement match. A few months later, he also won the 2019 King of the Ring, and changed his name to King Corbin.
Corbin has the crown stolen by Nakamura over past weeks. The King of Strong Style seems to be loving the crown over his head, after tussling with Corbin.
Shinsuke Nakamura has the opportunity to pull off his biggest victory in quite some time after a poor run in recent times. Although, Corbin might seem like a feud beneath Nakamura, but it is a start to rebuilding the King of Strong Style.
