Arjan Bhullar sets sight on pro wrestling and starts rivalry with WWE superstar King Corbin
Canadian MMA fighter Arjan Singh Bhullar became the first individual of Indian descent to win an MMA world title when he achieved the feat at ONE Championship: Dangal.
Bhullar saw off former UFC fighter Brandon Vera within two rounds to win the ONE Heavyweight World Championship via TKO.
The champ was himself in UFC earlier where he lost just once, at UFC on Fox 29, in 4 fights before making the move to ONE.
After the fight, he alerted WWE and AEW of his intentions to join pro wrestling. And since then, he has gotten a reply from King Corbin. Bhullar, in his call-out, said:
“I’ve reached the pinnacle of this sport. Now, I want to attack the pro-wrestling industry. AEW, WWE, I’m coming for you guys next. Consider this a warning shot.”
2019 King of the Ring tournament winner, Baron Corbin, replied to the video, saying, “Dude must be drunk!”. Bhullar gladly took the invitation for a feud and fired back in his own desi style.
“Hey @BaronCorbinWWE I recommend you stay in the shadows and keep ur fake King act up. I’m the God Of Wrestling with the mace of Hanuman and I’m coming for the industry and your head…….tell em @JinderMahal#FakeKing#GodOfWrestling#OneBillionStrong“
Corbin doesn’t really have anything going on for him and it’s possible that WWE paid heed to Bhullar and sent him out for a scrap before AEW could.
It could mean that we see Bhullar on WWE soon. With him mentioning ‘God’, ‘Hanuman’, and Jinder Mahal, he would seemingly bring over his mace-wielding persona from ONE to WWE.
WWE has brought a lot of MMA stars to the promotion. Matt Riddle, Shayna Baszler, and Ronda Rousey are just few of the examples– and Bhullar could join them soon.
