Former WWE Superstar Batista calls Asuka his “f****** hero”
Monday night’s edition of WWE Raw saw the Women’s Championship change hands.
Becky Lynch, who had been the Raw Women’s Champion for quite some time now, in a surprising announcement, revealed that she will be vacating the title because she was pregnant.
The Man handed over her title to Asuka. The Japanese star had won the Women’s Money in the Bank match at the PPV on Sunday.
Batista reacts to Asuka’s celebration
Lynch delivered an emotional speech as she handed over the title to The Empress of Tomorrow, who in typical fashion, broke into a wild, loud celebration.
WWE shared a GIF of Asuka going wild with her celebrations in the ring after being crowned the new Raw Women’s Champion. And former superstar Batista reacted to the post, calling Asuka his “f****** hero”.
@WWEAsuka is my fucking hero! https://t.co/fkEIS2DMfa

WWE passing on the title to Asuka in Lynch’s absence was the right thing to do. The Empress of Tomorrow has been a top-notch performer in the ring and was someone who has pushed Becky Lynch to the limits on multiple occasions.
Taking the Raw Women’s strap means that Asuka has now held the Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and Women’s Tag Team Championships.
In addition, she has also won the Women’s Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank matches during her stint in the WWE, meaning she has won literally every prize available to women’s wrestlers in modern-day WWE.
It will be interesting to see who is pitted against Asuka in the coming weeks. Shayna Baszler seems the most likely candidate, considering that she has been in the title picture for a while. The recently-returned Nia Jax would also be an interesting choice.
