Batista claims CM Punk will be bigger in films than in wrestling

Batista is one of the biggest movie stars now but CM Punk wants to follow in his steps

CM Punk to AEW is one of the biggest talking points in wrestling right now. The former WWE Champion has been linked with a move to Tony Khan’s promotion, however, nothing has been confirmed it.

It seems to be a matter of time before Punk does come back to wrestling, however, Punk has been talking about his movie career too.

The former WWE star was speaking to Movie Trivia Schmoedown (h/t Rajah) and claimed he wanted to follow Batista’s footsteps.

Batista has acted in some of the Hollywood’s biggest movies and has a range of characters to show off too.

“I watch guys, friends of mine, Dave Bautista, do these huge blockbuster roles but also do roles that are challenging to him because he wants to grow and be a better actor.

“I just want to follow in his footsteps.”

However, Batista too had some kind words for Punk and posted a reply to this:

“I already knew this. And the talent is obvious. He’s going to be bigger in films than he was in wrestling. Save this tweet.”

Punk also saved the tweet as Batista believed Punk’s movie career would be bigger than his wrestling one.

When will CM Punk make his move?

Punk has been away from wrestling for a long time and even had said he was never coming back.

However, all that seems to be a moot point with AEW now calling him over. Punk remains one of the greatest ever to have wrestled and it will be interesting to see how he performs once he is in the ring.

It is also interesting to note that Punk is concentrating a lot on his movie career and he will have to balance that with his wrestling career.
