Batista reveals his take on working in a movie with The Rock and John Cena
Former WWE Champion Batista is not interested in working in a movie with legend John Cena and The Rock.
In a concise response to a fan question about the three of them working together, he said:
“Nah, I’m good.”
However, John Cena the antagonist in F9: The Fast Saga has revealed that he would like to star alongside his WrestleMania 28 opponent, The Rock. In an interview with Complex, the 16-time Champion said: (h/t Wrestling Inc)
“So, as somebody who enjoys entertainment, I think…I’m immediately intrigued. I feel as if that would be entertaining. There’s a lot more than my opinion that’s gonna have to work to connect those dots, but I think it would be entertaining. So, I mean, I’m in.
on working with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson again
Batista, for his part, has tried to stay away from being typecast too. The Rock is seen as someone who is big and strong and plays the muscle/comedy star in most of his moves.
The Animal has tried to mix things up and even though he is built like a tank, some of his roles have had more emotion tied to it, like his character in Blade Runner 2049.
Batista has shared a rivalry with John Cena in the past leading to the main-event for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 26.
He is currently part of Hollywood alongside these stars, but prefers no comparison to them after leaving WWE.
The Animal also isn’t considering a return to WWE as he continues to build his acting career.
Batista’s Movies in Hollywood
Batista has starred as himself and other characters in various franchises including Guardians of the Galaxy, James Bond etc.
He debuted with his first appearance in Relative Strangers in 2006. The Animal has also played various characters from Stockwell and Mr. Hinx to Trent DeRosa and Scott Ward.
His character as Drax the Destroyer has given him more recognition. Batista has become a mainstay in the Marvel Universe and still has a couple of movies which feature him to come out.
