Batista hits out at suggestions of booking zombie lumberjack match at WrestleMania Backlash

Batista is starring in a zombie movie called Army of the Dead and that saw some undead lumberjacks feature at WrestleMania Backlash

The Miz and Damian Priest had to not only battle themselves but also a ton of zombie lumberjacks in their match.

This was a weird tie-up from WWE regarding a new Zack Snyder movie. Army of the Dead also stars former WWE champion Batista, and he suggested that some of his friends would be making it to The WWE Thunderdome.

The Miz was attacked by zombies after losing to Damian Priest at WrestleMania Backlash (WWE)

Not many would have expected zombies to be part of the show, and Sonya Deville also washed her hands clean of all this.

It seems that Adam Pearce was involved in making this decision after the tie-up. Adnan Virk also brought it up before the match started but some fans blamed Batista for all this.

The now movie star is one of the big names in Hollywood but he also wanted nothing to do with this.

Batista wasn’t happy he was tagged in one of the tweets and claimed that fans should call Vince McMahon for all these booking decisions.

Damian Priest gets the better of The Miz

The match itself wasn’t anything great in terms of action. There were no real stakes involved and this seemed to be more of a branding chance for the movie than to amp up the heat between the two WWE stars.

Priest did get the win in the end and The Miz was left to be attacked by the zombies after the clash. The Archer of Infamy also watched the movie before the clash and was happy to get another win over The Miz.

It will be interesting to see what is next for The Miz, especially after the attack. This match was a little hit or miss and Batista is right in saying that McMahon took the decision to set it up like this.

A no contest or something would have worked too but WWE decided to push Priest more.
