Bayley will be closely following the WWE and AEW following her ACL injury that will have her bedridden for months
Bayley has begun recuperating from a torn ACL after she suffered a nasty tear while training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando on the 9th of July. She underwent surgery 7 days later, and it was announced that she would be out of action for at least 9 months.
The SmackDown superstar also missed the Money In the Bank PPV in which she was scheduled to take on Bianca Belair.
In a recent exclusive interview with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Bayley discussed a myriad of topics which also included which star she would love to match up in the future.
Bayley named Serena Deeb of the AEW, and expressed her desire to face the veteran wrestler someday. She also went on to mention how Deeb had helped her a lot in the early phase of her career.
Bayley told Metro:
“I have so much respect and some history with Serena Deeb. I would love, love, love to be able to have a match with her one day. She helped me so much in my early career to get to SHIMMER. That would be so awesome.”
Serena Deeb was a part of the WWE in the early 2010s
Serena Deeb was also known for her time in the WWE. She was a part of the faction called Straight Edge Society headed by CM Punk, also comprising of Luke Gallows.
Deeb shaved her head bald, which is a characteristic of the Straight Edge Society. However, her time in the WWE was short-lived as she was released from the promotion (that same year in August) for failing to live out the straight edge persona in public.
She once again returned to the promotion in 2017, and made sporadic appearances.
