Ruby Riott along with several big names were part of the latest release by WWE
Former SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley shared her heart on Twitter regarding the recently released Ruby Riott.
Fellow wrestlers Indi Hartwell described Ruby Riott as a “lovely soul”. Ex-teammate Liv Morgan said that any company would be lucky to sign the star.
Riott joins Braun Strowman, Murphy, Aleister Black, Lana, and Santana Garrett as those released on Wednesday by WWE.
Bayley’s tweet led to more praise for the 30 year old seasoned wrestler:
“Dori got all the dog Moms roses on Mother’s Day, sent me flowers when my grandma passed away, organized locker room birthday parties, sent a gift to Chelsea from all of us when she got hurt, made Jess a video to tell her we miss her AND is one of the greatest wrestlers out there.”
It’s very evident from tweets like Bayley’s and the tweet from Liv Morgan earlier today that Ruby Riott was universally loved by everyone within the WWE locker room.
Currently, Riott would fall under the 90-day non-compete clause. There is no doubt that she will rise in prominence elsewhere – this is just the beginning.
Formation of Riott Squad
The Riott Squad debuted as a faction on SmackDown Live in 2017 and remained a group until the 2019 Superstar Shake-Up. The team never won tag gold but had some great matches during their time as a team.
They are also famous for their beatdowns similar to the Shield. Many female competitors on both Raw and Smackdown became victims of over the years. Again, the group never reached the lofty heights that fans originally had envisioned for them.
