Bayley has been out of action after she suffered a torn ACL last year during training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. She has constantly been teasing her return on Twitter for a long time.
As per various reports, she is fit to compete once again. However, the former three-time world champion in WWE has not been seen in the company as yet.
The 32-year-old has a huge fanbase and they are waiting anxiously for her return to the squared circle. Bayley is quite active on Twitter and she plays a heel on the social media platform which is similar to the gimmick she portrayed before getting injured.
A few weeks ago, the former NXT Women’s Champion warned Steph De Lander, who wrestled in WWE under the ring name Persia Pirotta and was released from the company on April 29.
Now Bayley has dropped a subtle hint on Twitter and it seems her in-ring return is not too far away.
“I’m like….excited for myself” – Bayley
Bayley is the first WWE Women’s Triple Crown Champion and also the first WWE Women’s Grand Slam Champion.
Bayley wrote on her Twitter handle that she is excited for herself and ready to see what this year is like. This could mean that Bayley knows what is coming for her and she is excited at the prospect.
However, it will be interesting to find out the brand on which Bayley will ply her trade. The women’s division on Raw looks quite packed. Asuka and Alexa Bliss have already made their returns to WWE’s red brand. Lacey Evans has also been moved to Raw. If another veteran like Bayley makes her way back to Raw, WWE might struggle to give so many big names the proper spotlight.
SmackDown could be a favorable address for Bayley when she does make her return. The women’s division currently has Ronda Rousey as the world champion while Sasha Banks and Naomi are the Women’s Tag Team Champions. Aliyah and Xia Li are two newcomers on the roster and Bayley could have a feud with them before maybe challenging Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
