Bayley takes a shot at Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox after win on NXT

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion and one half of WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Bayley, has taken a shot at NXT stars Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox.

Bayley and Banks made an appearance on Wednesday’s edition of NXT, to defend their tag team belts against the team of Nox and Blackheart.

The NXT duo came out all guns blazing against the champs and put up a fine effort. Blackheart almost had Banks tap out after she reversed a Bank Statement hold into her Cattle Mutilation. Bayley threw a chair into the ring, which Nox picked up, drawing the referee’s attention.

Making the most of the distraction, Bayley helped Banks reverse the submission hold, leading to Blackhear tapping out as the champions retained their straps.

Following the match, Bayley, in true heel fashion, took a dig at her opponents for the tag team championship. On Twitter, the SmackDown Women’s champion wrote: “@TeganNoxWWE and @ShotziWWE should be thanking us.”

It was a response to an earlier tweet from WWE NXT, who had posted a clip of Bayley mouthing the words “You’re welcome for your job” with a message that read: “Thank You and welcome home.”

While Banks and Bayley may have been able to defend their titles successfully, but their return to NXT didn’t end all too pleasantly. The Role Models, after the tag team match, were attacked by NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai, who single-handedly chased them off the ring.

It is unlikely that the duo will take getting laid out by Shirai lying down. Expect them to come back for revenge next week.
