Bayle wants to be in the first Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic
Last week, WWE announced that there will be a Women’s edition of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic as well.
This would be the first time it would be held for the female wrestlers. The men’s edition of the Classic got underway this week and was the 6th annual instalment of the tournament.
The women’s edition of the Classic has everyone excited. Four teams have already been confirmed, with the first match also decided.
Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter will face Toni Storm & Mercedes Martinez. Apart from them, Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon, and Candic LeRae & India Hartwell make up the other two teams.
This is definitely not the complete line-up of the women’s Classic. It is rumoured that it may feature 4 more teams if they want to get to the figure of 8.
Bayley asks Triple H to put her in the inaugural Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic
And now, former NXT champion Bayley has thrown her hat into the ring to be involved in the newly launched Women’s classic.
Of course, the Triple Crown and Grand Slam champion has come too far to take the step down to NXT. But she still gave it a shot as she tagged NXT founder Triple H on Twitter to make the request.
As we have seen in the past, WWE can make anything happen. And it isn’t uncommon for stars on the main roster to make appearances on the Gold Brand.
As of now, rumour has it that Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez will be another team that could be added to the line-up. Apart from, Aliyah is also tipped to be in the Classic with a partner.
This will still leave space for two more teams if WWE would want to have 8 teams. If Bayley featured in one of them, the WWE Universe would not be complaining.
