Becky Lynch is one of the highest-paid wrestlers in WWE at the moment. She lost the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38 against Bianca Belair but her performance was lauded by fans as well as the critics.
Sami Zayn and Becky Lynch formed a tag team and competed in the first season of the mixed match challenge. Lynch was playing the Irish Lass Kicker gimmick back then. The tag team was called “Team Gingersnaps” and was ousted in the first round by the team of Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman.
During the time, Zayn had advised Lynch to bring out the fire inside her and become an angrier version of herself. Lynch was reluctant at that time and did not pay much heed to the opinion but years later, she is one of the fiercest competitors in pro wrestling. Zayn mentioned in the end that she will thank him one day for this advice.
“You were right about all of it.” – Becky Lynch on Sami Zayn’s advice
Sami Zayn has not had a great time of late in the ring. He lost at WrestleMania 38 to Jackass star Johnny Knoxville and according to the former Intercontinental Champion, that defeat has tarnished his integrity.
Sami Zayn faced Drew McIntyre in four successive weeks on SmackDown but failed to win. Zayn finally returned to winning ways as he defeated Shinsuke Nakamura last week on SmackDown via count out.
The 37-year-old has been mentioning that he is hungry to get his integrity back. He has also tried to align himself to the Tribal Chief but that has not come to fruition as yet.
Zayn recently put out a tweet where he wrote:
“Sami Zayn is hungry for respect.”
Becky Lynch retweeted the tweet and acknowledged Zayn saying that it took her four years but she has realized that her former tag team partner was right.
“It’s taken me about 4 years, but you were right Sami. You were right about all of it.”
