In the world of pro wrestling, a wrestler who has good mic skills and is well-adept in acting often has a better chance of succeeding. This is because of how critical storytelling is in the sport. Superstars like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, and John Cena were tremendous on the mic and were equally good in acting and emoting which made the story between them and their rivals, even more intriguing.

However, there’s another thing that needs to fall in place and that is the stories that the writers bring up for the wrestlers. If the writers aren’t churning out ideal storylines for the wrestlers, they would have a hard time making it work even with their exceptional acting and mic skills.

Becky Lynch explained that when we watch anything, we watch and listen to a story. According to her, it’s the “emotion” that draws us in and not the athleticism and moves.

“It’s story. When we watch anything, we’re watching and listening to a story. We see the athleticism. We see the moves. That’s not what draws us in. What draws us in is emotion.”

WWE shared a video on Twitter tonight of Becky Lynch explaining her absence from WWE RAW. The 35-year-old was in Syracuse this weekend at a live event. Lynch revealed the reason for her absence on RAW during a backstage interview on the show. She said it had been 3 years since the last time she walked out on RAW without holding the championship. Lynch noted that she isn’t ready to come out on WWE’s red brand without the title.

Becky faced Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley in a match for the RAW Women’s Championship later on in the night. Big Time Becks wanted to win the title and walk into this week’s RAW as champion but she couldn’t succeed as the EST of WWE retained.

“It’s been three years since the last time I walked out on RAW without the championship,” said Lynch. “I’m not ready to walk out on Monday Night RAW without my championship. I always have a plan, that’s why I’m here in Syracuse because I’m going to win back my championship. I will walk out tomorrow on Monday Night RAW as your new Women’s Champion.”
