WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch reveals information about “The Man”
WWE Superstar Becky Lynch was earlier known by the nickname (gimmick) “The Man” but then changed to another trademarked name of “Big Time Becks.”
Many fans recently questioned about “The Man” gimmick and if it’s ever going to come back, to which Lynch replied that WWE still owns “The Man” trademark and when it will be time for the Man to respond, it will surely come.
Lynch was quoted saying,
“When its time for the Man to come back around, The Man will come back around. Big Time Becks is what we’re going with now, but we own that. Just so you know that”
Why is Becky Lynch called The Man?
Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch became “The Man” after naming herself the Man during her feud with Charlotte Flair in 2018.
She revealed why she started calling her “The Man” in a chat with WebSummit in November 2019. Lynch mentioned that it was her way of going to the locker room, which means stamping the authority.
“For me, it was a way of going into the guys’ locker room – going into the whole company – and saying, ‘I’m taking over. I’m The Man now.”
“I’m sure there’s a lot people going, ‘Why aren’t you calling yourself The Woman?’ But for me, it was a way of going into the guys locker room – going into the whole company – and saying, ‘I’m taking over. I’m The Man now'”
