Beth Phoenix had her say on the rivalry between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch
In a discussion on Busted Open Radio, Beth Phoenix gave her thoughts on the real-life feud between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
She also discussed the philosophy of NXT 2.0 and said that wrestlers and commentators are being encouraged to be themselves.
Charlotte and Becky had a backstage confrontation last month at a SmackDown event after their championship exchange segment.
Talking on Busted Open Radio about the pair, Phoenix said:
“You have these two women that are these massive stars who have done everything, and their big personalities are clashing right now. I see Charlotte’s points because Charlotte is consistent as all hell. She performs at an excellent level consistently for years. She’s athletic.”
“Becky started as the underdog. I feel that she had to scratch and claw her way, got over organically, and then reinvented herself, whereas Charlotte has been kind of the same character standing tall above the rest for a long time. So these huge personalities, they’ve always existed in the women’s locker room.”
Beth Phoenix also said that this has got everyone talking about the issue which was required.
Charlotte Flair recently opened up about her relationship with Becky Lynch and revealed why they are not as close as they were before. Flair revealed that she and The Man drifted apart due to their careers and personal lives going in different directions.
Flair, meanwhile, also said that Lynch is an inspiration to her because she is balancing her responsibilities as a mom and a star for WWE. The Queen then stated that their relationship is currently built on mutual respect.
There was a backstage confrontation between the two stars last month at a SmackDown event after their championship exchange segment. Flair thought the exchange of the titles segment would make her and her title reign look weak, which was something she went to management about. She was later asked to leave the arena.
