Beth Phoenix wants injured WWE star to return after Edge and Daniel Bryan moment

Edge and Daniel Bryan were both retired from WWE and Beth Phoenix wanted Paige to make her WWE return

This week’s WWE SmackDown had a couple of incredible moments as Edge met a few stars backstage.

The Rated-R Superstar met up with Cesaro in the back and even had a brilliant segment with Roman Reigns.

However, the main talking point from his meetings was one with Daniel Bryan. There was the possibility that Edge and Bryan could meet later in their WWE careers but that seemed far from possible a few years back.

Edge and Bryan both suffered serious career-threatening injuries and were out for a long time. However, the pair have made successful returns to WWE and it is Edge who is doing his bit at the moment.

Phoenix claimed that people didn’t deserve this moment because it was too good to be true. However, the WWE Hall of Famer also wanted a former champion to make her comeback.

Will Paige ever make her return to WWE?

The tweet of Edge and Bryan was labelled as “retirement” and that is something that former WWE Women’s Champion Paige has been dealing with for a while.

She has spoken about returning in the past too and again posted after this moment between Edge and Bryan.

Phoenix was quick to respond to this message and claimed she deserved a chance back at the top:

It is to be seen what happens with Paige. The former champion has dabbled in on-screen roles as a GM and manager but performing in the ring is most important for her.

Paige is only 28 and has a lot of time on her side. Hopefully, she recovers from her problems and can get back in the ring soon.

WWE has a huge roster of talented female performers and adding Paige to that mix would be something incredible.
