For the second time in less than a week Edge lost his mind during a WWE show
There was a lot of tension in the air on WWE SmackDown as the fallout of Fastlane continued.
Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns were attacked by Edge during their Universal title match. Edge was the special enforcer and he lost his cool during this clash.
Bryan had Reigns tapping out but Edge hit him with a chair. He also hit Reigns but The Tribal Chief was able to get the win via a pin.
There was a lot of talk on what would happen with the WrestleMania 37 match between Edge and Reigns. Bryan opened the show as he wanted a shot but Edge beat him up and this led to the main event.
Adam Pearce made a big call as he announced a triple threat match for WrestleMania. Reigns was left upset and all three men ended up brawling.
However, Edge became a little insane as he attacked Reigns, Bryan and even Jey Uso with a steel chair.
He hammered them all and even set up a concerto for Bryan and Reigns before Uso made the save. Bryan was still in the firing lines but some WWE officials ate some chair shots to save him and Edge sat in the middle of the ring seething with rage to close out the show.
Beth Phoenix, Edge’s wife, had commented on the Rater-R Superstar’s snap at Fastlane. She claimed this was part of the Attitude Era and he was the Rated-R Superstar.
However, this attack left her confused too. The WWE Hall of Famer questioned what her husband was doing and didn’t really have much more to say:
“What did you do”
Edge turning heel is a bit of a surprise going into WrestleMania. The Rated-R Superstar has been backed by the WWE Universe ever since he returned back in 2020.
However, the best years of Edge’s singles career came when he was a heel. The Canadian won multiple WWE titles during that time and it will be interesting to see if he can repeat that at WrestleMania 37.
