Beth Phoenix has taken up her NXT commentator’s role extremely well
Former WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix is having a bit of a resurgence thanks to her role on NXT.
While Phoenix has appeared in some matches even after retiring from regular competition, she has been doing a brilliant job as a commentator on NXT.
The WWE Hall of Famer joined the broadcast team in 2019 and has gone from strength to strength in her role.
While Phoenix has participated in storylines, such as that of her husband Edge facing Randy Orton, she now has a lot of admirers over her work behind the microphone.
Dave LaGreca, who hosts the Busted Open Podcast, didn’t hold back and went on to say that Phoenix was the best commentator in WWE.
Phoenix thanked LaGreca for his support but also spoke about how tough it was to deal with criticism.
WWE has some excellent commentators on all of their shows. Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness have done a great job on NXT.
Ranallo was considered as the best commentator for a while before Corey Graves took over. Another star that has done well in recent weeks as a commentator has been Samoa Joe.
Joe seems to be recovering from an injury but his work behind the microphone has been excellent too.
Phoenix, for her part, certainly seems to be enjoying her time as a commentator. She might not get to wrestle a lot but is always trying to be in the best shape.
The 39-year-old was also part of the 2020 Royal Rumble but was eliminated by Shayna Baszler. While Phoenix might be doing a lot of commentary work, she should appear in specials and PPVs a few more times too.
