Bianca Belair indicates when she found out about Becky Lynch at SummerSlam
The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Beliar was about to face Sasha Banks in a rematch of their WrestleMania bout at SummerSlam, but The Boss was pulled out at the very last moment.
Finally, while speaking to Inside The Ropes (h/t Fightful), Belair revealed that she actually knew about her Summer Slam opponent.
Bianca mentioned how it was at the very last minute when she was going out to be in the ring that is when she got to know about Lynch being her opponent. Belair also said that all her reaction during the match was genuine emotions. So, lastly, she ended by saying that it was a very, very last-minute call.
“It was pretty much very, very, very, very, very last minute. Pretty much when I was in the ring up – until the time that I went out [to the ring]. Very late call, very late moment, everything, all the emotions that you saw in my face during the match at SummerSlam, were real emotions, shock. Kind of just like, ‘Wow, this is happening. Ok, let’s go with it and just be great at what you do.’ So it was a very, very last minute call.”
Belair faced Lynch at SummerSlam in one of the shortest matches ever in the history of WWE
Since Belair had no time to prepare for her match against Becky at SummerSlam, it cost her big time as she lost the match against Becky Lynch in just 26 seconds and lost her championship title.
Becky was out of WWE action for a very long time following her pregnancy. She returned directly at SummerSlam in a championship match.
