Bianca Belair is playing a waiting game before choosing her opponent at WrestleMania 37
WWE superstar Bianca Belair won the women’s 2021 Royal Rumble last month. And since then, fans have been awaiting her decision as to who she would be challenging for the title at WrestleMania 37.
Like Edge, who won the men’s Rumble, Belair is not prepared to give anything away just yet. She appeared on this week’s episode of RAW and was seen talking to RAW women’s champion Asuka.
However, she did not indicate if she would be choosing the Japanese. Instead, she is likely going to wait until Asuka defends her belt against Lacey Evans at Elimination Chamber later this month.
The PPV is scheduled to take place on 21st February. Belair posted after the announcement that she would be awaiting to see what happens in that title match before choosing her opponent.
The most likely answer to that is SmackDown women’s champion, Sasha Banks. However, even Banks could be defending her belt at the PPV later this month.
This is probably why WWE is milking every last drop of juice they can from this situation.
This week’s RAW, nevertheless, gave us an idea that Belair could even challenge Evans. That is, of course, if she manages to beat the Japanese later this month.
Belair also tweeted that she could be appearing on RAW more often. The EST of NXT is certainly teasing the fans before she announces who her opponent would be.
This is something that Edge has been doing as well. Looks like we would have to wait a few more weeks before we can know who both of them would be facing at the grandest stage of wrestling in March.
