Sasha Banks or Asuka was the choice for Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 37

Bianca Belair has been on an incredible rise in WWE ever since she moved to SmackDown.

WWE have gotten the push exactly right and the EST of WWE is ready to headline WrestleMania 37.

However, she had one major decision to make after winning the Royal Rumble. Belair could pick either WWE Women’s Champion with Asuka holding the Raw title and Sasha Banks holding the SmackDown one.

While many backed her to face The Boss because it would make for great story telling, The EST of WWE has now shared her reasons for picking The Boss.

Belair only confirmed she was going to face Banks recently and was speaking on Talking Smack. She hailed Asuka for being a great champion but claimed that facing Banks felt “right” (h/t Wrestling Inc):

“She is ‘The Boss,’ ‘The Standard,’ and what other way to make WrestleMania even bigger.

“Me choosing Sasha Banks tonight and being the first two African-American women headlining WrestleMania, we just made WrestleMania bigger. It’s going to be a magical night.”

Belair has posted a lot of content about African American heroes during Black History Month on her social media profiles.

The EST of WWE went on to say that she was shaking after making the decision and this was a moment for everyone:

“To be going to WrestleMania and facing Sasha Banks — standing in the ring with Sasha Banks — made making that decision so real for me. I don’t know if people could tell, but I was shaking because of how excited I was … The moment isn’t just about us. It’s about everybody and what it’s going to represent.”

The EST of WWE also spoke about making Banks a target since she came into WWE back in 2016. Belair had spoken about wanting to face Banks just after moving to SmackDown too and she is finally getting the chance to battle against one of the best in the business.

Belair closed off her discussion regarding Banks by adding that if she wants to be the best she has to face the best.

Banks is possibly one of the greatest female wrestlers ever, and this WrestleMania 37 battle should be an epic one.
