Bianca Belair shares her thoughts on SummerSlam loss to Becky Lynch
Bianca Belair lost her SmackDown Women’s championship when Becky Lynch returned at SummerSlam in a devastating fashion. The match lasted only 26 seconds as Lynch made quick work of Belair and embarrassed her. Belair recently spoke to Hindustan Times where she was asked for her thoughts on the match. Belair said:
“SummerSlam night was a whirlwind. So many things happening last minute. Me thinking, I am facing Sasha, but she could not come in. So, Carmella steps in, then Becky Lynch came on. And I was caught off guard, not really understanding what is happening. But, I just wanted to go out there and give a great performance. But to lost my title within seconds was really heartbreaking, really startled, caught off guard.”
“I know I want to win it back as quickly as I lost it. I’m just trying to make it right. I saw all the support from all the fans after the match – that really lit a fire in me to go back and win back my SmackDown women’s championship. It was tough. The night was tough. I’m still trying to get over that night.”
“I don’t think I will ever get over it – till I get back my SmackDown women’s championship and make it right. I am just waiting for that moment when I can make it right. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around that night at SummerSlam.”
Belair is certainly disappointed and rightfully so. She tells how confusing it was to endure so many changes at the last minute. However, She was given the opportunity to win her title back at ExtremeRules but wasn’t able to get the job done.
Belair has yet another opportunity to get her title back on Crown Jewel later this month. The SmackDown women’s champion Lynch will defend her title in a triple threat match against Belair and Sasha Banks. Belair will look to upset the odds and get back what she thinks belongs to her.
