Rhea Ripley won the Raw Women’s title at WrestleMania 37 after defeating Asuka

It was quite a night for NXT stars as they put on a show at WWE WrestleMania 37. Bianca Belair created history by beating Sasha Banks at WrestleMania 37 night one.

This was the first time two black female wrestlers main evented WrestleMania and it was a spectacle for all.

Belair also created history by winning the title in her first Mania match but there was more to come. Another top NXT star, Rhea Ripley, got her chance to shine against Asuka.

The Nightmare had the chance to win the title from Asuka and she ensured that took place. The Australian put on a dominant show to become the new champion and Belair was quick to congratulate her.

Belair and Ripley had several battles during their NXT days. They also were the last two performers in the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble.

That wasn’t the only talking point from the women’s side of things. WWE got three new women’s champions over the WrestleMania weekend.

The third one took place on NXT Stand and Deliver with Raquel Gonzalez defeating Io Shirai. Belair shared a photo of all three new champions behind the scenes at Mania too,

This is the rise of a new generation in WWE for sure. Ripley, Gonzalez and Belair are three of the best in WWE and it will be interesting to see how things go for them.

WWE possibly has the strongest roster when it comes to female talent and it is great to see many of them getting to shine on the big stage.
