WWE Raw saw one of the biggest debuts this week
This week Monday Night Raw saw Olympic sensation and WWE’s new signing, Gable Steveson, present making his first regular television appearance for the promotion.
The Olympic Champion was sitting in the front row ahead of Bobby Lashley’s match with Kevin Owens. There was a moment when KO shot glances at Stevenson as he showed his medal off. However, Lashley and his manager MVP showed support as they bumped fists with Gable before the in-ring action.
With this, WWE made a point of focusing on him as this is the company’s 15th new signing through the NIL program. In September, Gable signed a unique contract to monetize his own name, an image.
WWE might be planning a WrestleMania 38 debut for Gable Steveson
Gable rose to fame after winning a gold medal in 125 kg men’s freestyle wrestling at Tokyo’s 2020 Summer Olympic Games.
WWE is looking for a bigger plan for Olympian Gable Steveson as they are planning for a WrestleMania 38 debut for the new Raw star.
Steveson made his first appearance at SummerSlam 2021 and was soon assigned to the Raw roster as a part of the 2021 Draft in October. The company has also planned to set up a new remote training facility for Steveson in Minnesota near his college campus.
He would work with different coaches to learn the WWE action style. Steveson is also given access to the Performance Center in Orlando, where his brother Bobby Steveson is training under his contract.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestling Inc.) “WWE wants to feature the Olympic Gold medalist throughout the next few months and wants him to be a regular on TV after his college wrestling season ends in March next year. In addition, they want Gable to make its debut at WrestleMania 38 in April.”
