Big E is all aboard the Khamzat Chimaev hype express after latest UFC win

Khamzat Chimaev has been impressive since making his UFC debut and Big E wants more of the Swedish star

The UFC has a new star to bank on and that is Khamzat Chimaev. The 26-year-old won his debut UFC fight in impressive fashion at Fight Island around 10 days back.

However, the Swede wasn’t done as he wanted another chance to impress. Chimaev got his chance at that as he fought again on Saturday but this was in another weight class.

The 26-year-old destroyed Rhys McKee and won the clash by creating a couple of records too. Many around the world have been impressed by the rising star and that includes Big E of the New Day.

He was one of a handful of WWE stars checking out the UFC event, and E used a well-known GIF of Kylo Ren from Star Wars as he wanted to see more of Chimaev in the UFC:

E might get his wish soon

Chimaev certainly wants to strike the iron while it is hot as reports claim he wants another fight soon. Normally a UFC star has a maximum of two-three fights spaced over a year but the Swede wants another fight at UFC 252 which is in August.

The main event sees Daniel Cormier vs Stipe Miocic for the UFC Heavyweight title and this would be Cormier’s last ever fight too.

Miocic holds the title and this should be an amazing clash but getting Chimaev on the card could be another master-stroke by the UFC.

Finding an opponent will be tough given that most fighters need a couple of months to prepare well. However, there would be a lot of people keen on trying their luck against the Swede.

E, for his part, will have a chance to impress too. With Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods out with injuries the New Day are down to one member.

Kingston told E to concentrate on his singles career and it will be interesting to see how that goes.
