WWE Champion Big E is set to reach one of the most significant Milestones of the company
Big E is really closing in on a milestone as a WWE Champion. WWE decided to turn Big E into a singles star and has slowly made him into a credible star through the ranks. From being started out as the Intercontinental Champion on SmackDown to winning the Money in the Bank ladder match and cashing in the contract to win the WWE Title.
He ended Bobby Lashley’s reign at 196 days, a WWE Champion just four short of the 200-day mark. Since then, Big E has retained his championship against the likes of Drew McIntyre and Lashley. He is really closing on being the WWE Champion for 100 days.
The current WWE Champion is now at 97 days mark and will surpass the 100-day mark this coming week.
Big E will face a triple threat challenge at WWE Day 1
With the recent inclusion of Bobby Lashley, WWE has stacked the odds against Big E in this storyline as he will now be defending his championship title against former Universal Champion Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and former WWE Champion Lashley in a Fatal4-way battle at the upcoming Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1st.
Lashley defeated all three superstars in a single night to make his way into the championship match for the PPV event. It will be a challenging task for the WWE Champion as he will be going against some of the best in the business.
With Owens contract being renewed now by the company, he can be the potential star to become the WWE Champion. We should not forget about Rollins, a really lethal competitor and Lashley will be looking forward to taking his revenge on Big E, but it will be every man for themselves.
It will be interesting to see how Big E defends his title in one of his most significant title defenses when he has become champion.
