Former WWE Champion Big E reacts after Tom Aspinall wins convincingly against Alexander Volkov
Tom Aspinall made a big statement against Alexander Volkov in the main event of UFC London. Aspinall dominated early on and took down Volkov twice before cranking on a straight armlock to earn a first-round win.
Former WWE Champion Big E recovering from his neck injury took to Twitter and mentioned the bout and spoke about Aspinall.
Aspinall is the GOODS! Heckuva night for the Brits. A delectable card from top to bottom. #UFCLondon
It was Aspinall’s fifth consecutive victory in the UFC. He remains undefeated in the promotion and recently defeated Sergey Spivak and Andrei Arlovski. He is currently ranked #11 in the heavyweight division.
Former WWE manager discloses issues with Ridge Holland replacing Big E following the injury
Dutch Mantell, the former WWE manager, believes that Ridge Holland is not ready to take the spot of Big E. Holland was part of the main event on this week’s Smackdown as he faced off against Kofi Kingston.
Mantell spoke on this week’s Talking Smack and said that Holland is too green to be put in the main event picture:
“That guy [Ridge Holland] is not ready,” said Mantell. “He is sloppy in the ring. No wonder Big E got hurt. The guy is not that talented to be in the spot he’s in right now.” [1:08:16 to 1:08:29]
Mantell also said that he is not good on the mic, and it is hard to understand what WWE s trying to do with him.
“I didn’t mean to bring it out, but Ridge Holland is just not ready. He does stuff that can tell he doesn’t have that much experience. I don’t know what they see in him. Maybe another English guy to put with Sheamus. It’s the only thing I can see. He’s not even that good a talker” (H/t Sportskeeda Wrestling)
