The former WWE champion Big E suffered a broken neck on last week’s episode of SmackDown. He has received many messages of support from the WWE Universe since then.
Big E teamed with his friend, Kofi Kingston to take on the team of Ridge Holland and Sheamus. During a scuffle outside the ring, Holland delivered a belly-to-belly suplex on E. The New Day member couldn’t rotate his body fully so that he could land on his back.
E unfortunately, landed on top of his head. He was stretchered backstage and taken to a hospital where doctors examined him and declared that he had broken his neck. Fans and superstars were sending him messages and good thoughts ever since.
Big E already shared two videos where he expressed gratitude for his well-wishers and discussed his health condition. In one of those videos, he stated that he had fractured C1 and C6 but there was no ligament or spinal cord damage. He was relieved that he wasn’t required to go under the knife. He assured everyone that he will be fine soon.
Big E is one of the most loved superstars in WWE. He has a huge fan following and it wasn’t a surprise that when he received the injury, lots of people reached out to him to know about his well-being.
Big E put out a tweet saying he endured difficult moments in his life and felt very alone. He, however, felt so immeasurably loved and supported thanks to his well-wishers.
The 36-year old said he wasn’t expecting the sheer volume of calls, texts, visits, and DMs he received after his injury. He expressed his gratitude once again to everyone. E tweeted:
“I used to endure difficult things in my life and I felt very alone. But I feel so immeasurably loved and supported. I was not prepared for the sheer volume of DMs, calls, texts, visits, etc. I’ll never be able to adequately thank you all.”
