How would’ve Big E looked in the The Shield?
The Shield have been probably one of the most destructive trio in the WWE. The trio broke up and reunited on several occasions to etch their name in the history books. But the plans were seemingly different. On speaking with Rick Ucchino, Kofi Kingston said that Big E was supposed to be on The Shield. Kingston said:
“Big E will tell the story a lot better, but long-story-short, he was actually supposed to be in the Shield a long time ago, way way back when they were trying to pick people from FCW to come up. So Roman gets the call, Roman goes off, builds himself and does all these incredible things and incredible run with The Shield. Roman is Roman and also Big E has done some incredible things and [shown] some incredible growth . . . Now, everyone loves Big E, so there’s a big journey there too.”
All the three superstars involved in The Shield went on to do unbelievable things. Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns made their debut on the main roster in 2012. From that point on they were known as The Shield. The Shield officially ended in 2019 when Dean Ambrose left the WWE and joined AEW.
Imagine seeing Big E as a heel in The Shield. What a storyline that could’ve been for the current WWE Champion.
Big E even though was not picked to be a part of the Shield has done some incredible things in the WWE. His team called The New Day is also a fan favorite. Big E even became the WWE Champion last week when he cashed in his Money In The Bank contract on Bobby Lashley.
