Bo Dallas had test match at WrestleMania 37 before shocking WWE release

Bo Dallas was present backstage at WrestleMania 37 just days before his release from WWE

Just a few days ago, people were speculating if Bo Dallas played ‘The Fiend’ at WrestleMania 37 instead of Bray Wyatt.

How quickly fate changes. Dallas was among the 9 WWE main roster superstars that were released from the company on Friday as they cited financial difficulties as the reason behind the axing.

It was a long time coming if you noticed how inactive he had been recently. Dallas hadn’t worked a single match on the show since November 2019.

A report by Fightful (h/t wrestlingnews.com) even mentions that he was present at recent SmackDown TV tapings too but sat far away from the action.

WWE creative just did not have any storyline for him and he was pretty much deadwood for the company. However, the report also mentions that he was at WrestleMania 37.

He, of course, did not get to have an in-ring appearance on the grandest stage of them all.

Dallas is yet to comment on his WWE release. The 30-year-old is reported to be starting some ventures on the side, as you would expect anyone to do considering how inactive he has been.

It is unclear if he will join another promotion. But if he does, he can only do so after 90 days because of the no compete policy entered into the WWE stars’ contract.

Until then, it looks like some peaceful days at his girlfriend Liv Morgan’s farmhouse in the countryside.
