Bobby Lashley explained why Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander were kicked out of The Hurt Business

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley has given an explanation as to why Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander were kicked out of The Hurt Business.

The Hurt Business stable was formed by MVP last year, starting out with just him and Lashley as the members. Few weeks into the act, both Benjamin and Alexander were recruited, following a heel turn for the latter.

The stable had been one of the few positives on RAW as they soared to great heights with Lashley winning the United States Championship while Benjamin and Alexander bagged the WWE RAW Tag Team gold in December last year.

Seeds of dissension between Alexander and Benjamin were sown for a while now, though. And they ended up losing their championships to The New Day on RAW earlier this month.

This was followed by the duo losing a 2-on-1 handicap match versus Drew McIntyre last week, barring them from the ringside for Lashley’s WWE Championship bout against The Scottish Warrior at WrestleMania.

Frustrated by their recent losses, Lashley lambasted Benjamin and Alexander on RAW this Monday and attacked them, before declaring that The Hurt Business was “over” for the two.

Benjamin, following the incident, requested a match with Lashley, in which he was defeated by the WWE Champion. And in the aftermath of the match, The All Mighty took to Twitter to provide an insight as to why the two were booted out of the stable.

Once again calling them out for their incompetence, Lashley also sent out a warning to Alexander that he will be on the receiving end of a beating like Benjamin.

It remains to be seen what is in store for Benjamin and Alexander now that they are no longer part of The Hurt Business.

As for Lashley, he will put his WWE Championship on the line against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37. The All Mighty did get his hands on his challenger on RAW, following an assist from SmackDown’s KIng Corbin.
