Bobby Lashley sent out a message to WWE Champion Drew McIntyre after Raw
The rivalry between Bobby Lashley and WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has been brilliant to watch over the last few weeks.
The two are set to battle it out for the title at next week’s pay-per-view, Backlash. And on the go-home edition of Raw, Lashley and McIntyre once again came to blows.
Lashley and MVP were involved in a tag-team match against The Viking Raiders. The All Mighty once again put up a great show of strength and endurance, getting the win with a Full Nelson on Erik.
Post the match, he had the other half of the Viking Raiders, Ivar, also locked in a Ful Nelson. The Street Profits, who were at ringside during the tag-team match tried to rescue Ivar from Lashley’s onslaught, before McIntyre entered the ring and hit his challenger with a Claymore Kick.
Lashley may have ended up eating a Claymore, but the All Mighty was in defiant mood after the episode of Raw. He took to Twitter to send out a message to his rival. Replying to post of a clip posted by WWE of him getting claymored, Lashley wrote:
“Notice it took me holding off THREE other people, fresh off a match, for @DMcIntyreWWEto get me down.”
The rivalry with McIntyre has done wonders for Lashley. Once stuck in dull, dead-end storylines one after the other, the All Mighty has excelled after being thrust into the title picture. The fact that he has been joined up by MVP as his mouthpiece has also helped a great deal.
While it is unlikely that WWE will make McIntyre drop the title at Backlash, one can expect the feud between these two wrestlers to continue post the pay-per-view. A big clash at SummerSlam, when the fans are likely to be back in the arenas, could very well be on the cards.
Irrespective of how this rivalry may end, WWE are finally getting it right with Lashley.
