Bobby Lashley pokes fun at Drew McIntyre for his book release and photoshoot
10th May episode of Monday Night RAW had Drew McIntyre looking pretty neat when he pulled up the arena, and the cameramen were backstage ready to click a few shots of him.
But it managed to irk Bobby Lashley. The current WWE champion quoted the series of photos of questioned McIntyre’s commitment to pro wrestling. His tweet read:
“First he’s a writer, now he’s a model?? This guy is who you want as your champion?!? Re-evaluate your life choices @WWEUniverse. You’ll all thank me one day. #WWERaw“
McIntyre has released an autobiography of himself, titled ‘A Chose Destiny: My Story‘ which has been promoted pretty heavily by the company and is doing pretty well in the market.
But it doesn’t seem like Lashley is a fan of it. The two then met later that night in a singles match on RAW.
Drew McIntyre attacked by Braun Strowman on RAW
The match, as it always is between these two, was highly physical and really exciting to watch. But it ended in a way that was not really surprising to anybody.
Braun Strowman interfered to attack McIntyre and hand the Scotsman a win by disqualification, before going to town on Lashley as well. ‘The Real Deal’ remains the champion going into Backlash next weekend.
The three are primed to fight each other in a triple threat match for the title at WrestleMania Backlash next Sunday.
The match was initially between ‘The Chosen One’ and Lashley, but the ‘Monster Among Men’ later earned his spot in the title fight.
What makes this main event interesting is the fact that any three of them can win and neither of those results would really shock or upset the fans. It remains to be seen what actually transpires next Sunday, though.
