Bobby Lashley has given some warning to Brock Lesnar ahead of Royal Rumble 2022
WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will defend his newly crowned title against Bobby Lashley at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. However, the Al-Mighty is up and ready to challenge The Beast as he took to Twitter and issued a warning to the champion before their clash.
Ever since his return to WWE in 2018, Lashley has been quite vocal about wanting to have a match against ‘The Beast Incarnate.’
Lashley mentioned in the tweet about the exact timing and also claimed that “it will be over before you know it.”
80 hours away. Keep taking me lightly Brock. It’ll be over before you know it.#RoyalRumble#BobbyVsBrock#WWETitle#AndNew
Lesnar was added to the WWE Championship as a last-minute change after Reigns tested positive for COVID-19 at WWE Day 1. The Beast became the new WWE Champion, but there was a lot of speculation that Lesnar would face Reigns in a “Champion vs Champion” battle at WrestleMania.
However, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that WWE may not be going in that direction, and a lot depends on how Royal Rumble pans out.
“I was told no,” Melter said. “They just did it because those two guys had the belt at the time. So it made sense to do it at the time. But, at the time, that was not the direction that they were planning on…Lesnar and Reigns are going to have a match. I think we’ll have a lot better idea of what’s gonna happen after the Royal Rumble. But, if Seth wins and then Lesnar’s wrestling Roman, I would presume Roman beats him to win a belt back. Because Lesnar’s not going to be around long-term and Roman will be around every week,” (h/t Ringside News)
It will be interesting to see how this Royal Rumble goes as far as the championship is concerned.
