Bobby Lashley will have to do it all himself if he wants to beat Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania
It’s been a few weeks since Bobby Lashley won the belt from The Miz, who in turn, won it from Drew McIntyre by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.
Since then, Lashley has looked unbeatable as the champion. But in that time, a lot of things have changed on the sides.
The Hurt Business has split up and Lashley even faced former THB member, Cedric Alexander, on RAW this week.
The split happened last week, where Lashley made an announcement that he would give a title shot to whoever takes Drew McIntyre out of the frame.
The words seemingly reached the WWE SmackDown dressing room. Baron Corbin emerged to hand the Scotsman a proper beating on the show.
And the two were pitted in a singles match earlier this week on RAW. Lashley and McIntyre both got into a war of words before their respective singles matches.
But the Scotsman brutally disposed off Lashley’s henchman, making sure there was now nothing between him and his WrestleMania title fight.
The current champion then posted a tweet saying that it’s fine if no one wanted to help him out in his quest to eliminate ‘The Chosen One’.
McIntyre won the belt against Brock Lesnar in an empty arena at WrestleMania 36. Lashley made fun of that and said that McIntyre had his moment with his fans, and now it was Lashley’s time to rejoice.
Earlier, the Scotsman spoke of his excitement at seeing fans fill up the arena once again. The Raymond James Stadium is expected to house 25,000 fans and it would do justice to McIntyre if he could win back his title in front of all of them.
