Booker T heaps praises on NXT star Adam Cole comparing him to Shawn Michaels
WWE Booker T has revealed that he thinks Adam Cole has what it takes to be compared to the legendary Shawn Michaels.
In an interview with Brandon F. Walker, he also said that Cole needs some more time on the developmental brand, before his big move up (h/t Wrestling Inc):
He says:
“Man, there’s a lot of young guys out there, and the landscape of the business has changed. The big guys aren’t as relevant today. I’m really looking to see how far Adam Cole breaks out.
“People always compare him to the Shawn Michaels type of worker and I really think a guy like Adam Cole – even being a small guy – is going to be able to work so much bigger (wrestlers) than his actual size, like a Shawn Michaels.”
Booker T believes that the former leader of The Undisputed Era can be at the pinnacle of WWE in the next 3-5 years. Meanwhile, Cole is going to face his former teammate Kyle O’ Reilly at the NXT Great American Bash next month. He was also a victim of the returning Samoa Joe’s submission move after his confrontation with O’ Reilly.
Booker T on Roman Reigns
Booker T is also highly impressed by WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The former Shield member has dominated the SmackDown division, ever since his reign began in August 2020. With Paul Heyman in the fray, Reigns has realised his potential in becoming one of the baddest heels in the business.
Reigns was not welcomed by the WWE Universe as a babyface throughout his career. Booker T believes that Reigns has been the best in WWE for the last 3 years, after consistently performing at the highest level.
Reigns beat Rey Mysterio in a historic Hell in a Cell match on Friday Night SmackDown. The Tribal Chief is set to face his toughest test as he is rumoured to fight John Cena at the Summerslam PPV.
