Booker T gives verdict on Rob Van Dam possibly being in the WWE Hall of Fame
Rob Van Dam is getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. ‘The Whole Dam Show’ is himself understandably happy about the situation.
And so is one of his former tag team partners, Booker T. The two formed a formidable tag team back in the day and won the World Tag Team Championship by beating Batista and Ric Flair in 2004.
King Booker was discussing Van Dam’s induction into the class of 2021 WWE Hall of Fame and mentioned on his podcast how everyone who tagged with him in the past seems to be getting into the HOF.
“I’m definitely glad to see Rob [get into the Hall of Fame]… stuff that he has gone through, how him and I met, so hopefully they’ll be showing that pretty soon. So, I made it, I made another made man. He’s going to the Hall, you know. The thing, everybody that’s been in a tag team with me normally get a call, sooner or later.”
And on the same note, he then discussed who, out of the pool of his former tag team partners, should be in the Hall of Fame next.
And the 56-year-old had tow names in mind for that; Goldust, and Test. The latter sadly passed away due to a drug overdose in 2009 but his memory lives long in Booker T’s heart.
“Goldy, yeah (Goldust). God bless Test. But Test should be in the Hall of Ring. I mean, his name still makes you feel a certain way. Test was [a] huge WWE star. So long. Test wasn’t a guy that was a flyby name. He wasn’t just here today, gone tomorrow or anything like that. So hopefully, Test will get that call to be in the Hall of Fame.”
The two won the WWF Tag Team championship together. And Goldust was himself a very big name during the peak of his career.
His unconventional character and his famous gold face paint came to have a pretty iconic corner of its own on WWE during the 2000s.
And as for Test, it is only deserving that the late star gets a call to the HOF.
