WWE Hall of Famer Booker T ‘not surprised’ with Lana’s release
Hall of famer Booker T responded after WWE decided to release Lana on Wednesday night.
The former six-time world champion applauded Lana’s work ethic and said that “she would take it right on the chin and smile every time.” But, he admitted that as much as she improved, she didn’t have the quality to be the best on the roster. (h/t Reality of Wrestling)
“You could tell Lana was putting in work on a weekly basis trying to get better at her craft. She worked hard… but is it a massive loss. Not a massive one.”
Booker T also hinted at another chance for AEW owner Tony Khan to grab another high profile-superstar from WWE.
Lana earlier tweeted a statement and said she will never forget the fans. She also made references to various WWE storylines she was involved in, and how she was paired with multiple tag team partners.
Lana had been with WWE since 2013. She wrestled on this week’s WWE RAW, teaming with Naomi for a loss to Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose.
Will Lana Reunite with husband Miro on AEW ?
Miro is the current AEW TNT champion. Before this, he was associated with WWE for a decade. He was released from WWE last year. He was managed by Lana during the beginning of his career. The duo’s popularity increased massively during his feud with John Cena.
Ever since the release of Lana from WWE, social media has been buzzing with regards to Lana’s future. Many have called for the reunion with her husband on AEW.
If Lana and Miro successfully combined together again, it could make them one of the hottest properties in the wrestling industry. They became a fan-favourite in their time in WWE and will want to explore that path soon.
Even though everything regarding Lana’s future is speculation, it should not be forgotten that she probably has a 90-day non-compete clause after her release.
