Eva Marie is all set to return to the WWE after being 4 years away from the promotion

Marie’s last appearance in the WWE was in 2017. In August 2017, she announced that she had parted ways with the promotion.

After that Marie was totally away from the wrestling scene, appearing in various TV shows, launching a fitness program and her own fashion line.

It was only during 2020 that PWInsider reported that she had once again signed a contract with the WWE, and will be making a return.

On the 3rd of May, in an episode of RAW, it was confirmed that she would be returning to the ring soon, after vignettes of her promoting ‘the Eva-lution’ aired.

She is yet to make her return to the ring. And in the wake of this, Booker T addressed her return in the Hall of Fame Podcast. ‘King Booker’ claimed that he has hardly seen Marie wrestle, and he struggled to recall even a single match of Marie.

Talking about her return, he told Brad Gilmore:

Booker T explains what Eva Marie can bring to the women’s division

Marie’s return wasn’t a welcome one among the WWE community. A lot of fans felt that the WWE could have given some other Diva a chance to return, instead of Marie.

It is indeed true that her ring-time has been pretty less when compared to other female superstars.

Booker T then explained what Marie could possibly bring to the women’s division of the WWE. Although he didn’t seem convinced with Marie competing with the likes of Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair, he did say that she would “bring some eyes to the show”.

‘King Booker’ said:

“I’m just curious as far as what is she going to do in the women’s division when we got such a strong presence in the women’s division, representing the women – from a wrestling perspective. Of course, she is going to bring some eyes to the show…It just makes me wonder, what is she going to look like in the ring with Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Asuka.”
