Former AEW Superstar and Cody Rhodes’ wife, Brandi Rhodes has provided a positive update regarding the American Nightmare’s torn pectoral tendon.
Cody Rhodes suffered a torn pectoral tendon before his match against Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell. The 36-year-old insisted on wrestling despite the painful injury. WWE’s medical team cleared him to compete in the match and the former Intercontinental Champion delivered a stunning performance. Battling through immense pain, Rhodes managed to pull off a terrific effort that will be etched in the memory of his fans for a very long time.
Rhodes underwent surgery on Thursday and the WWE Universe was praying for it to be a success. Brandi Rhodes provided the much-awaited update revealing that the surgery was successful. She also noted that her husband is now on the road to recovery.
Mrs. Rhodes tweeted:
“The doctor just repaired Cody’s pectoral tendon which was torn completely off the bone. Successful surgery. He is on the road to recovery now.”
Cody Rhodes is one of the most loved wrestlers going around currently. He earned huge respect for performing at Hell in a Cell with a torn pec. Fans were no doubt thrilled to know that his surgery has gone well and they sent their best wishes for his speedy recovery.
Cody Rhodes mentioned on this week’s episode of RAW that he hopes to recover in time for the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view. It is going to be extremely difficult for the former Legacy member to recover fully before the event which is less than a month away. However, we hope to see the veteran wrestler recover well and return to the ring soon.
