Former WWE star Braun Strowman reveals interest in playing role of Bane from DC Comics
Released WWE star posted a photo on social media linking his interest to play a role in a Batman movie as a villain.
Strowman is seen posing for a photoshoot in a black and white background. The background is filled with trees in a forest and Strowman donning the attire worn by Bane in The Dark Knight Rises.
The caption which Strowman posted was used by Bane in the Dark Knight series:
“You think darkness is your ally. You’ve merely adapted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was a man and by then it was only blinding. Random photo shoot.”
Bane has been portrayed by actor Tom Hardy in the past and has been one of the iconic villains in the DC Universe.
Strowman, also has the physique to pull off the character, seen on many occasions in WWE. This includes overthrowing an ambulance on a segment against Roman Reigns. ‘The Monster Among Men’ has also dominated in handicap matches and put most of his opponents to bed in no time.
He was unfortunately released after WWE suffered budget cuts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Strowman has been working hard ever since his release in June to get back to the wrestling scene. He is one of the biggest heavyweights currently in wrestling. He has also followed a strict regime ever since his singles move in WWE.
His return will be on everyone’s mind as he finishes a 90-day no compete clause. His likely destinations could be Tony Khan’s AEW or IMPACT Wrestling. One thing for sure is that we will all be waiting to see where Strowman sets foot next.
