Raquel Gonzalez made another huge impression on this week’s NXT
WWE NXT star Raquel Gonzalez made her first prominent appearance on the Black and Gold brand in February 2020.
She was signed by WWE in 2016 and reported to the WWE Performance Center. After sporadic appearances in NXT from 2016 to 2018, she has finally made her mark in the brand this year.
Her first NXT pay-per-view event came on July 7, 2020, at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. The 29-year-old has since been creating waves in women’s division in NXT in recent times.
Her ongoing feud with Rhea Ripley is perhaps one of the most exciting ones in the promotion.
Earlier this year, Ripley beat Gonzalez at the Halloween Havoc special in October in a singles match. The two proceeded to collide once again on this week’s episode of NXT.
NXT star Raquel Gonzalez has the approval of Braun Strowman
This week’s NXT saw the storyline build up towards the special New Years Evil edition of the brand which is scheduled to air on 6th January.
Braun Strowman was watching the action unfold on NXT and shared a tweet saying that Raquel Gonzalez is the future of the brand.
Dakota Kai was beaten by Rhea Ripley on Wednesday, but a massive brawl broke out between the latter and Raquel Gonzalez when Gonzalez came running into the ring during the end of her match.
It was later revealed that both women will face each other in a Last Woman Standing match at New Year’s Evil in January.
NXT continues to be the best brand out of the three in recent times when it comes to delivering good storylines and wrestling.
The women’s division has played a big part in it and Raquel Gonzalez will only gain more importance within the division in the coming future. It’s also not too shabby when you have ‘The Monster Among Men’ in your corner.
