Braun Strowman quashes rumours about ‘hefty fee’
Braun Strowman clarified rumours of his hefty signing fee in a Twitter post on Friday. Strowman was reported to be asking for a “five figure” salary to join a new promotion since his WWE release.
Strowman was one of the biggest releases from the company, after his constant performances over the last 4 years. Moreover, he also boasts one of the most decorated resumes in WWE facing legends like Bobbly Lashley, Goldberg and Brock Lesnar.
However, he now clarifies his stance surrounding the buzz about his fee saying:
“Let me just get this FYI out. I have not spoken to anyone about bookings. But if you wanna talk business the email to my agent is in my bio. Thank for any confusion you may be reading online.”
Strowman is free to sign for any rival promotion after completing his 90-day no compete clause. His salary in WWE is at an estimate of $1.2 million a year. WWE believed that Strowman was outbooked by heavyweights like Omos and Commander Azeez
Strowman is easily the hottest free agent currently, after being one of the most dominant wrestlers in WWE. His singles run after leaving the Wyatt family, made him one of the most feared in the division.
He can join former WWE Superstars like Mark Henry, Jon Moxley and Big Show who have successfully moved to AEW. Tony Khan’s promotion has been picking up stars from the elite company for a while now.
The contract which expires on 31st August, is when Strowman could return to the wrestling ring. Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T suggested that Strowman would reign in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Strowman is a two-time WWE Raw Tag Team Champion with Nicholas and Seth Rollins. He is also a former WWE Universal and WWE Champion. He is the winner of the Money in the Bank ladder match in 2018. Strowman boasts a lengthy CV, which is among the best in all free agents currently.
Furthermore, any promotion picking him up is sure to have one of the best personalities in their company, and can move ahead in his long and decorated career.
