Braun Strowman recollects how bullies pushed him to keep working and proving people wrong
WWE superstar Braun Strowman opened up on how bullies made him push himself to the limits and prove people wrong.
The Monster Among Men posted a video on his social media where he was talking to Sanvello Health in support of the Mental Health Awareness Month.
In the interview, Strowman shed light on how there had been people in his life who told he was never going to achieve anything. He also opened up on how he channelized the negativity from the naysayers and the bullies to fire himself up and work towards proving them wrong.
“And, I use these naysayers, these bullies, people who told me that I was never gonna do anything, that I was never gonna be anything. It lit a fire in me, lit a fire inside me, it’s still burns this day because I still deal with it.”
Strowman then went on to add how incredible it makes him feel when he does something that people said he wouldn’t be able to.
“Just to prove these people wrong, cuz it’s the most amazing feeling to me in the world when someone tells me that I can’t do something and then I go out there and prove them wrong. I prove them wrong for myself. Because it keeps me from leaning on to those doubts that I’m a nobody when in the grand scheme of things I am somebody. “
Strowman vs Shane McMahon
Strowman’s most recent storyline on WWE had similar themes with Shane McMahon constantly bullying the big man and calling him stupid.
Strowman stood up to his bully as the two squared off in a steel cage match at WrestleMania 37 with the Monster among men prevailing over McMahon on the Grandest Stage of them all.
Braun Strowman’s beautiful message
The clip finishes with a lovely message from Strowman to everyone out there.
“Just like every other human being out there that’s ever been told that they’re not somebody, you are. You are very important to the world, you’re here for a reason, you’re a blessing. There’s always a silver lining to everything and that’s what drives me to do what I do.”
