IMPACT Wrestling and AEW both interested in signing Bray Wyatt after WWE release

Recently released WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt is on the radar of other top promotions, according to various sources.

On the Main Event podcast, Dave Melzer spoke about the status of Bray Wyatt. Since Bray Wyatt’s name and role are owned by WWE, his creative direction will be interesting.
Meltzer said the following to Wyatt: (h/t Wrestling News)

“I’ve heard different things. I know Impact is really chasing him, as far as I know … There must be some older people who think he’s coming, yeah.”

There are sources saying Wyatt is not AEW’s target. He may go there, but his chances of doing so are less than Brian Danielson’s (or Daniel Bryan).

WWE has released several superstars in the past two years, many of which are signed with Impact Wrestling or AEW. Interestingly, Impact and AEW have a working relationship. Both shows have superstars like The Good Brothers, Christian, Frankie Kazarian, and Kenny Omega.

Wyatt will be a huge addition to whichever promotion he signs for. He has been one of the consistent and best wrestlers in the WWE in the last 5 years. His release came as a shock as he was assumed to return to WWE in August.

Why was Wyatt released?

Rumors said that Bray Wyatt did not like his creative plan to return to the ring at SummerSlam in 2021. Wyatt’s relationship with WWE main figure Vince McMahon is also said to have been “hot and cold” at some point during this period, which could have caused a sudden release.

It’s also possible that Wyatt’s recovery had nothing to do with his release, making it hard to believe any theory that led to this shocking retreat. We will find more details in the coming months about Wyatt and his bitter end to his WWE career.
