Bret Hart becomes the first pro wrestler to be inducted in Canadian Walk of Fame
WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart is widely regarded by many as one of the greatest in ring performers in the history of pro-wrestling. The Canada’s Walk of Fame decided to honor the legendary career of Hitman and and have inducted Hart in this year’s walk of fame.
By this, Hart has also become the first pro wrestler ever to be inducted in the Canadian Walk of Fame. The official Twitter page of the organization broke this news out recently.
Hart along with 15 others has been included in this year’s Walk of Fame. Another notable names to be inducted this year is the renowned Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves.
Hart was obviously overwhelmed with his inclusion in the Walk of Fame this year. He expresses his feelings on his Instagram. The WWE Hall of Famer said:
“I’m finally able to announce how excited and honored I am to be an inductee into Canada’s Walk of Fame in Toronto. I know many people for years have pushed hard for this, and I thank all of you for your support. What makes this honor especially sweet is that I will be the first professional wrestler to be inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame, and I hope this will open the door for other great Canadian wrestlers who have proudly represented their country to be recognized and honored as well. Congratulations also to my fellow inductees and honorees.”
Hart expressed his gratitude after receiving this honor and also shared that it is extra special to have become the first pro-wrestler ever to receive this honor.
