Is Brock Lesnar’s MMA career officially over?
Paul Heyman on speaking with Josh Martinez of Z100 reveals that he feels like Brock Lesnar’s MMA career is done for good. He said:
“Been there done that, He knocked out Randy Couture, took a beating from Shane carwin. What more can he do in the UFC that he hasn’t done? He has nothing to prove in MMA”
Heyman looks entirely confirmed that Lesnar has nothing to do in the MMA sport as he has done everything he could. Heyman also stated that Lesnar can make a lot more money with the WWE.
As of now it looks like Heyman is right. Lesnar is now officially back in the WWE and has challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal title. However it is still not clear that when will this match happen but it can be said that Lesnar will stick with the WWE for a while now.
Lesnar made his UFC debut in 2008 against Frank Mir. Lesnar also ended up losing his debut fight. Later in 2008 Lesnar won the UFC Heavyweight Championship. Mir and Lesnar squared off again on the UFC 100 event and Lesnar managed to get the better of him this time.
He took his first retirement from the UFC in 2011. He eventually returned in 2016 and was banned from fighting because of positive test of doping.
In 2018 there was also speculation of Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Cormier to be in the works. This was after Lesnar had challenged Cormier. But Dana White later revealed that the fight is officially off because Lesnar was done with MMA.
