Brock Lesnar details of new WWE contract revealed
Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar signed a new WWE contract reportedly carrying him through early 2023.
At SummerSlam last week, Lesnar unexpectedly returned to WWE, facing Roman Reigns after successfully defending his title with John Cena.
Recent reports indicate that the deal for his return was reached in the last minute, so SummerSlam will have a significant moment to end the show. A few days later, we now have some details on Lesner’s new WWE contract.
According to Fightful Select (h/t Wrestling Inc), Lesnar signed a new contract with WWE that will last “approximately one and a half years” and may include eight fights. The first match of
Beast Incarnate is likely to be against Roman Reigns, which makes sense to see the WWE Universal Champion after his return at SummerSlam.
Lesner’s last appearance for the company was at WrestleMania 36 in 2020, where he lost to Drew McIntyre who won the WWE championship. The 44-year-old player may get a belt again in the match against Reigns, and the WWE Crown Jewel in October may lay the foundation for his next championship reign.
After Lesnar’s introduction, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him take back the belt which has eluded him for a while. Reigns has redefined himself in this stage of his career and is at the peak of his powers. If there’s any wrestler to challenge him to the limit, it would be Lesnar.
The two have main evented a WrestleMania in the past and have a brutal rivalry to continue in this era of WWE. It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for the two biggest Superstars in history. Lesnar has adopted a new gimmick where he looked almost unrecognisable but will have vengeance on his mind against Reigns.
