‘The Beast Incarnate’ makes a mention in a backstage segment between Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre, while discussing with WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. Lashley also speaks about his absence from the WWE roster for a long while.
Another possible angle could be a Championship match with WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. The two heavyweights have the potential to put on a gigantic dual on the big stage. Also, Lesnar is due for a rematch for the WWE Championship after his last loss.
Lashley and McIntyre have been fighting for the WWE title since WrestleMania 37. The Scotsman came up short at the Grandest Stage after a distraction from MVP. He got another chance at WrestleMania Backlash and couldn’t consolidate again. Lashley is set to face McIntyre for the third and final time at Hell in a Cell, which could be the change of scenery for the WWE Title.
The timing of the Championship picture could make it easier for Brock Lesnar to return and become a 9-time World Champion.
Lesnar’s last appearance came at Wrestlemania 36 when he gave up the WWE Universal Championship to Drew McIntyre.
Is Roman Reigns the Most Likely Opponent ?
Lesnar could make a possible comeback against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The two have had big lockups in the past and have main-evented the big stage before. Heyman teaming up with Reigns, since his heel turn on WWE SmackDown has given the ‘Tribal Chief’ another added dimension. Heyman has been the long-term manager for Lesnar since his debut back in 2002.
Roman Reigns is currently dominating on WWE Smackdown and has beaten almost the entire roster in singles competition. He stands the favorite to challenge Brock Lesnar after his impending return.
