NXT Champion Bron Breakker open up about comparisons with Brock Lesnar
Bron Breakker recently became the new NXT Champion after he defeated Tommaso Ciampa, which he celebrated with his father Rick Steiner in the ring.
Breakker recently spoke with Sporting News about how it was like making his television debut as a zombie and also about comparisons with Brock Lesnar.
When asked about his career trajectory being similar to that of Brock Lesnar – he said that Lesnar has been a man for a long time and also praised him, but he wants to take one day at a time. He was also a natural athlete who made a smooth transition to pro wrestling.
“I just take it one day at a time, to be honest with you. Brock is the man. He’s been the man for a long time. He’s done many great things in the WWE and obviously went to the UFC to become the champion. If people say that I’m on the same directory as him. He’s awesome. But I take it a day at a time and focus on the task at hand. I’m just trying to get better each and every day.”
Bron Breakker speaks about his first television debut as a Zombie
Breakker was asked about his first real taste of TV as a Zombie with Miz and Damian Priest match at WrestleMania Backlash in May. He mentioned that it was a fun experience and said it was his first taste of the main roster.
“It was a fun experience. That was like my first taste of getting to go down to the main roster and seeing how they do things over there. I got to meet some of the guys. It’s something I look back on, and I had fun with a lot of the younger guys that I came in with.”
Bron also said that this winning was the most significant moment of his life, and it meant everything to him.
